NSU 2000 DASH PROJECT

The NSU in question unfortunately slipped it’s emergency brake, rolled backwards down a hill and hit a tree….so it is now gone but this project was real fun and cheap.

I used a 1976 VW Beetle speedometer that I added veneer to and a bunch of trash to build a dash for the NSU. I started with a shipping tube and some plywood to make a base structure. Then using fiberglass reinforced bondo i shaped a substrate that was nice enough to wrap in veneer and tune part of it out for painting. It was a great project and popped right into the car with ease. Still upset about losing that lil whip.
